I have been thinking a similar thing for surface designers and more specifically surface pattern designers. People who design pattern for fabrics and almost anything you buy that has a pattern on it. The pricing contract is negotiated between buyer and designer, then product is made and sold. The designer with a royalty contract for a pattern on a shirt for example can wait 18months before they are paid by the time all the ‘manual’ accounting is done to calculate what they are owed. And there are going to be inaccuracies. I see an NFT market for surface designers as a way to simplify this process for everyone in the chain.
